Themes

The main theme for 2010 was ‘Re-imagining education’.

The forum challenged participants to think about the impact of change in our world, and consider how we can ‘re-imagine education’ using technology to transform learning.

Participants explored aspects of:

Enabling regeneration and economic recovery

How can technology assist societies to recover and regenerate after economic change, demographic disruption and conflict?

Raising educational standards, improving employability and encouraging lifelong learning for individuals can be a key foundation of regeneration. We know that technology can support education. It can also help the wider community to address the challenges of economic and social disadvantage. But how do we maximise its potential?

Striving for excellence

How do we know we are doing the right things in the right ways?  How do we improve organisational and educational standards? What is the role for assessment and benchmarking?

Preparing for the future

Are we preparing our learners for future success, as society, economies and technology continue to change?

Across all themes we will discuss the ways in which technology can support change.

Further information about the key themes can be found in the key theme document.

The 2010 programme includes keynote presentations, a range of networking sessions and many opportunities to engage in debate, share ideas and learn from each other.
